AMA Apprenticeship & Traineeship Services

Since 1998, the AMA (WA)’s apprenticeship and traineeship services have been delivered by AMA Apprenticeship & Traineeship Services, working with employers and apprentices throughout Western Australia in a diverse range of industries such as construction, manufacturing, hospitality, tourism and health. The success of AMA Apprenticeship & Traineeship Services has resulted from the delivery of timely, comprehensive and flexible support to current and prospective apprentices, trainees and employers. As a newly appointed Apprenticeship Network Provider (ANP), AMA Apprenticeship & Traineeship Services will continue to deliver these and additional services to the people of Western Australia.

“A strong focus on community youth programs”

AMA Apprenticeship & Traineeship Services as a division of the AMA (WA), is especially proud of its involvement and focus on youth programs, which include Dr YES and our Youth Friendly Doctor (YFD) training programs. These initiatives seek to address youth-related health issues that affect young Western Australians and to increase awareness among medical professionals of the services available to adolescents experiencing hardship.

As part of the Western Australian community, these programs provide free health education sessions to over ten thousand secondary students per year.
